This Christmas season nature made daily life more interesting and beautiful by sending an ice storm to Toronto, Canada. While we did't venture far from home, life without power for a few days turned the familiar into the unfamiliar. While the bureaucrats bickered (I promised myself I would stay away from politics on this site), the utilities personnel worked quickly to solve a monumental problem; we extend respect and thanks.
Weather events like this provide a great justification to loved ones for acquiring quality camping gear. Unfortunately I didn't have a lot of time to spend with a camera. Below are a few quick photos of the deep freeze.
