Adveture Trail Gear's Folding Mat

>Adventure Trail Gears Folding Mechanics Mat

Sitting and writing this product review it occurred to me how many memorable places I have laid under my Land Rovers with a tool in my hand. A McDonald’s parking lot in Newfoundland, a mountain pass in Colorado, an arroyo in Baja, a Grand Canyon campground in Arizona, a number of Pemex parking lots in Mexico, and on the side of the 400 highway at home in Toronto, Canada. If I have driven their, I have been prostate on the ground looking up and feeling one or more of the full range of emotions; the most common being frustration, anger, satisfaction and relief.

These weren’t all breakdowns. The purpose of this article is not to add fuel to the Land Rover reliability debate. I complete fluid checks on long highway days, suspension fastener checks on long washboard days, and “banged it” checks after traveling rough tracks. Regardless of the type of vehicle you overland I would recommend routine inspections - small problems become big problems if left unattended.

Back to the folding mat - laying on the ground means you are subject to whatever is on the ground. It is a simple concept, but the Adventure Trail Gear Folding Mat is effective and simple enough to succeed where folded tarps, for example, were deemed not worth the effort. Having used and abused the Folding Mat - this product has become one of my most appreciated pieces of garage and travel gear.

Why Adventure Trail Gear’s Folding Mat - a type of luxury I don’t often allow myself - is in the back of my Land Rovers:
